Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They help the website function, improve the user experience, and collect visitor analytics.
2. What Cookies Do We Use?
Essential Cookies (Dashboard)
These cookies are necessary for the basic functioning of the Dashboard. This includes authentication cookies (Clerk) that maintain your login state. The service cannot be used without these.
Analytics Cookies
Website traffic (echoai.hu, echoaichat.com) is measured with Google Analytics — these cookies are only activated after you consent via the cookie banner (Google Consent Mode v2, denied by default). In the Dashboard we use PostHog (EU) analytics for product development, for which consent is given at sign-up. The data is anonymized.
Embedded chat widget
The Echo chat widget embedded on third-party websites uses no cookies and performs no analytics or marketing tracking — it only stores technical data in the browser's localStorage (conversation ID, opened flag).
3. Third-Party Cookies
- Clerk — authentication cookies for secure login (Dashboard)
- Google Analytics — website traffic measurement (with consent only)
- PostHog — product analytics in the Dashboard
- Stripe — payment cookies for secure transactions (only during payment)
4. Managing Cookies
You can modify your cookie preferences at any time in your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies.
Note: disabling essential cookies may cause some platform features to not work properly.
5. Amendments
Changes to this Cookie Policy will be published on this page. The date of the last update is indicated at the top of the page.
